Mike was appointed as a Director of Rincon Ltd. in 2018, and to the roles of Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer on 20 January 2021. Mike qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Australia and South Africa, and holds a Bachelor Commerce (Hons), and Master of Applied Finance and Investment. Mike is also the Chief Financial Officer of Sentient Equity Partners, and is responsible for the administration of the Sentient investment portfolio and asset management business. He has extensive experience in corporate finance, treasury, risk management, auditing, budgeting and taxation on a global basis. He previously had 15 years experience as CFO of a number of listed and unlisted mining companies. Prior to this he worked for Deloitte internationally for six years Mike is based in the Cayman Islands.

Andrew was appointed as a Director of Rincon Ltd. on 1 January 2021. Andrew is also a director of Avalon Trust & Corporate Services Ltd, a Cayman Islands based company which is authorised to carry on trust business. Andrew is registered as a professional director with Cayman Islands Monetary Authority. Andrew was formerly Managing Director of Coutts (Cayman) Limited. Andrew obtained his M.A. from Magdalene College, Cambridge where he studied law. and joined Slaughter & May in London where he qualified as a solicitor. He subsequently joined Coutts (Cayman) Ltd in 1994, and was appointed as Managing Director in 1999. He served on the boards of the Coutts trust companies in Bahamas and Bermuda with overall responsibility for the Caribbean region. Andrew is based in the Cayman Islands.

Gregory was appointed as a Director of Rincon Ltd. on 1 January 2021, and to the role of Chief Operating Officer on 20 January 2021. Gregory is registered by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority to carry on the business of a professional director pursuant to the Director Registration and Licensing Law. He was formerly the Chief Financial Officer at Schroder Cayman Bank & Trust Company Limited. He obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand and a Bachelor of Laws with Honours Degree from the University of Liverpool, England. Gregory practised in the corporate and litigation departments of Cayman law firm Quin & Hampson.  and worked with KPMG both in New Zealand and the Cayman Islands, before being appointed as the Chief Financial Officer at Schroder Cayman Bank & Trust Company Limited. Gregory is based in the Cayman Islands.

Andrew was appointed as a Director of Rincon Ltd. in July 2017. He is Sentient’s Equity Partner and is based in Sydney, Australia. Andrew holds a degree in Mining Engineering from University of the Witwatersrand, a South African Mine Managers Certificate and the UKSIP Investment Manager Certificate (IMC). He is also a member of AusIMM. Prior to joining Sentient in 2009 he worked as a Portfolio Manager for Baker Steel Capital Managers in London and Sydney. There he gained extensive experience investing in the natural resource sector through his direct responsibility for the gold and precious metal funds. Prior to that, Andrew was a senior metals and mining analyst at AME Mineral Economics in Sydney. He previously worked in London and Sydney as a mining engineering consultant and has fulfilled various mining engineering and production roles at De Beers and Gold Fields in South Africa.

Pieter was appointed as a Director of Rincon Ltd. in July 2017. He is a registered professional engineer with a wealth of experience in the resources industry since the early 1990s. He began his career in mining in South Africa where he worked as an engineer at the Sishen iron ore mine from 1992-1997. He has also had various executive roles in corporate strategy and business consulting and managed various corporate level strategic initiatives. Pieter has a Bachelor of Engineering degree, an MBA, and is also a Member of AusIMM. His experience includes coal, base metals, heavy minerals and industrial minerals. In early 2004 he moved to Australia and set up Royal Bank of Canada’s investment banking division in Sydney. He joined Sentient in early 2007.

Tim is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Rincon Mining Pty Limited, and Executive Chairman of Natural Soda LLC, which is a member of the Rincon group of companies. He joined the Rincon group in November 2017 as President and Chief Executive Officer of Rincon Ltd. Tim was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for over 20 years working exclusively in the mining sector. Tim qualified as a chartered accountant in England and Wales and Australia. He was PwC’s global mining leader from 2007 to 2013. During his tenure as global mining leader, he was also responsible for PwC’s thought leadership on the future of the mining industry. Tim initiated a China focus in 2002 that led to PwC’s Australia-China desk, which is known throughout China today. As National China Desk Leader, he worked extremely closely with many state-owned and private Chinese investors and companies to facilitate Chinese foreign investment in Australian mining and other assets. Tim is also Non-Executive Chairman of Hazer Group Limited and Angel Seafood Limited and a Non-Executive Director of Costa Group Holdings Limited.

Our Corporate Social Responsibility programme oversees the planning, implementation and measurement of success for each project, we focus on what matters by incorporating both a top-down and a bottom-up development model.

The Corporate Social Responsibility programme focuses on programs that create a pathway for choice. Through a number of initiatives, we are able to increase the number of opportunities available to members of the community. These include: The development of a Technical School in Argentina and scholarship programs for students in Argentina.
